Bridge golf day on the horizon for Amanzimtoti Country Club

Local golfers have a lot to look forward to at Amanzimtoti Country Club and Conservancy's upcoming annual Bridge Golf Day.

AMANZIMTOTI Country Club and Conservancy will hold its fourth annual Bridge Golf Day on April 10, with this year’s edition set to go bigger and better than before.

Chairman of the club, Kurt Reinbach, said that four years ago the April 2022 floods wreaked havoc on Amanzimtoti Country Club and Conservancy, destroying the golf course and washing away its two bridges.

“We are very excited to announce this year’s golf day and would like to invite everyone to join us for this annual celebration of what can be achieved when we stand together as a community, and as a family,” said Reinbach.

He explained that the club is aiming to make the day more inclusive and welcoming to the community as a whole. The cost for a fourball, excluding carts, will be R3000, and will include halfway, fun on each hole, great prizes and snacks at the 19th hole, where the second half of the celebration will kick off.

Those who wish to sponsor a hole and make the day fun for golfers can sponsor a hole at R2000 excluding VAT.

“This Annual Celebratory Day serves as a major fundraiser for us to continue improving our club, course and conservancy for the community to enjoy. The funds raised this year have been allocated to the revamp of the veranda area,” said Reinbach.
