Golfers support Amanzimtoti club rebuild

The SUN was one of the prize sponsors, sponsoring the 11th hole and conducting a lucky draw for an R8 500 free marketing campaign.

THE Amanzimtoti Golf Club held its fourth annual bridge fundraiser on April 10 to raise funds to replace infrastructure destroyed by the 2022 floods.

Played in a four-ball alliance with two scores counting, the event was played in hot conditions, but the participants were willing to brave the sun to help rebuild the club. The SUN was one of the prize sponsors, sponsoring the 11th hole and conducting a lucky draw for an R8 500 free marketing campaign.

Mark Cowie from Athlone Park Primary School, who was also the MC, said it was pleasing to see so many golfers supporting the initiative.

“Being a member of this club for almost 20 years, it has come a long way. We need days like this to fund ourselves and to make the necessary improvements,” said Cowie.
