Be a daredevil and raise funds for cancer

Entrants will be given a kit, which includes a water bottle, arm band with their registration number, a Hollard branded purple speedo and a few other items.

HOPING to build momentum as he prepares for the 2023 Hollard Daredevil Run, The Bluff resident, Lawrence Chislett aims for this year’s run to be bigger than ever.

In a daring attempt to raise funds for Cansa and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa, 61-year-old Chislett, will shave all the hair off his body and face when he spearheads the run.

The annual event, which will promote awareness of prostate cancer, as well as testicle, breast and cervical cancer, will be held on October 13.

The run will commence from Ansteys Beach on The Bluff, and encourages residents to join to support and raise funds, while creating awareness on cancer.

Chislett said, “Seeing that October is breast cancer awareness month, women are also encouraged to join us. They can wear their own pink T-shirts to commemorate the awareness month.
