Help find family of man knocked and killed on M4 Freeway

The man, who was declared dead at the scene, was also found to have a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt on the right side of his brain.

BRIGHTON Beach police detectives are looking for the relatives of a man who was knocked and killed on the M4 Freeway, south bound on June 24.

Captain Louise le Roux, the station’s spokesperson, said members were called to attend the accident scene which involved a pedestrian and a Toyota Hi-Ace, at about 19:50.

She said a case of culpable homicide is being investigated.

“The man, who is believed to have been between the age of 35 and 45, is alleged to have run across the freeway and was struck by the vehicle. He was declared deceased by paramedics on the scene. The identity of the pedestrian is unknown,” she said.

Le Roux said the man, who was about 1.75m, was wearing a blue and yellow jacket, blue pants with blue Dickies sandals.

She said the man was also found to have a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt, on the right side of his brain.

“Detectives are calling on any persons who are missing a family member or friend that has been missing a relative to come forward. Witnesses are also urged to come forward and provide any information that can help with the investigation,” she said.
