Stubbs, Coetzee get SA ‘A’ call-ups for tour to Zimbabwe

Exciting young players Tristan Stubbs from the Warriors and Gerald Coetzee from the Knights will get a chance to show what they can do at a higher level when they join the SA ‘A’ team for their white-ball tour of Zimbabwe from next week.

There are also several senior Proteas players in the mix, including Heinrich Klaasen, who’ll captain the One Day squad as well as the T20 squad, Reeza Hendricks, Khaya Zondo, Ryan Rickelton and Andile Phehlukwayo.

The South Africans will play against a Zimbabwe XI in three One Dayers and five T20s. The tour will take place from 25 April to 10 May.

Theunis de Bruyn, Prenelan Subrayen, Tony de Zorzi, Bjorn Fortuin, Lutho Sipamla and Lizaad Williams are other experienced players who’ll be part of the tour group.

First T20 – 2 May, Harare
