Tiger can roar at Scottsville

The Michael Robert Handicap (Listed) has always been a competitive race and this year is no exception with most of the field having some sort of winning chance but it is Tiger’s Retreat who could prove best on the day.

This Sean Tarry-trained six-year-old gelding is in very good form, having won two of his last seven starts.

Jockey Raymond Danielson does seem to get on well with this chap and Tiger’s Retreat has the gun draw.

Auction King is in good form but has copped a wide draw in stall No 11 so will need luck in running but will be doing his best work late.

The Jeff Freedman-trained Silver Age may have needed his latest when sixth to Fourth Estate (runs in this) and is 2.5kg better off.

Vienna Wood is well drawn and is attempting a hat-trick of wins. This gelding likes this course but this is stronger than his recent competition.

Doug Campbell-trained Kentucky Guest is in the form of his life and only got a three point penalty for his last win so must be respected.

Fourth Estate showed he is at his very best on the turf and won well last time. Champion jockey-chaser Gavin Lerena is carded to ride this seven-year-old but Fourth Estate is badly drawn (14) and will be giving weight away to the whole field.

Joshuas Crown and Zhivago were also badly treated by the gods of the draw but can earn place cheques.
