Y’rtheone looks ready to win

He did move up for a bit to give us some remnant of hope but he would have had to be a Frankel to have sustained the run. He faded out late to finish 12.40 lengths behind Mountain Boy.

Y’rtheone returned to Polytrack three weeks later over 1000m with Anton Marcus up. This time he drifted from 22-10 to 11-2 and broke well, showed some speed but was outpaced late to finish third, beaten 5.75 lengths behind Swakopmund who was sent off 5-10 favourite and was a winner by 4.25 lengths.

Tonight could be Y’rtheone’s chance. He runs in Race 4 in a Maiden Plate over 1200m and this good-looking colt is well drawn at No 3, has Marcus back in the irons, and should have the measure of his opposition.
