LISTEN: All the take-aways from the Masters and URC crunch-time

In this week's sports podcast the panel discusses all the big issues from the Masters and the URC.

It was another Masters golf tournament to forget for South Africa with former winner Charl Schwartzel finishing in a tie for 50th, while Louis Oosthuizen withdrew with an unspecified injury.

The rookie, amateur Aldrich Potgieter, missed the cut … as did Rory McIlroy.

Tiger Woods also withdrew with injury after making the cut, while Phil Mickelson finished in the top places, a major boost for the LIV Golf Tour players. In fact, the LIV boys did pretty well, with Brooks Koepka challenging until the final round.

It was a Masters full of many different storylines, with Jon Rahm coming out on top after a superb few days of work.

In this week’s sports podcast, Talking Point, host Trevor Cramer discusses all things Masters with The Citizen‘s head of sport and keen golfer, Jacques van der Westhuyzen. They also touch on this weekend’s big URC games in South Africa, with plenty at stake for the local sides.

And, of course, Talking Point’s ever-popular stars and flops of the last sporting week are revealed.
