Chiefs young goalie learning from seniors
At only 16-years, Bontle Molefe is living the dream of many youngsters who wish to play for one of the top South African football teams one day.

For Molefe, the dream materialised very soon , while he is still in high school and says he is learning a lot from the senior team players, especially the goalkeepers at Amakhosi. The young shot-stopper might not be getting game time at the senior side yet, but his display in the Chiefs reserves has certainly made him one for the future at the Glamour Boys.

“As a youngster, it’s very good because it’s high-tempo there (senior team), so, I am trying to develop myself to get used to the tempo. Playing with them it’s hard, it’s not easy because they know, and they are experienced. At certain points they know what to do, they know where to pass or react to certain aspects of the game,” Molefe told Cosafa TV.
“For me, I’m still going through that process of development but so far so good, I am learning a lot from the lads, especially goalkeepers Itumeleng Khune, Daniel Akpeyi, Bruce Bvuma and Brylon Petersen, I am learning a lot from them.”
Molefe is currently with national Under-20 team as they get ready to kick-start their Cosafa Under-20 Championships in Zambia. Amajita will take on Mauritius in their opening Group B game at the tournament on Thursday.
