Benni to explain his referee comments today

Cape Town City Chairman John Comitis says his club plans to respond to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) this afternoon.

This comes after the PSL requested City coach Benni McCarthy to explain comments he made on November 26 directed at match officials.

According to Comitis, McCarthy will respond directly to the Premier Soccer League, however, the City boss is not sure on whether McCarthy’s response will be in writing or at a press conference.

“Today is the fifth day and we will respond today and I can assure you that our coach wants to have his say because he feels the matter was taken out of context. I am not sure which process we will take but the meeting is this afternoon and we will respond to the PSL and take it from there,” Comitis told Phakaaathi.
