Nene hoping to impress Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs might just have found themselves a solution to their defensive problems after Nedbank Ke Yona team centre-back Nkanyiso Nene was drafted into Amakhosi on a one-month trial.

Nene, along with 15 other Ke Yona team players found out where their football journey will take them now, after weeks of public votes were finally revealed, and the players were drafted into PSL clubs at The Venue in Melrose Arch yesterday.

There has been an outcry over Chiefs’ defensive problems in the last couple of weeks and the 22-year-old is eager to work hard in order to earn himself a contract with the Glamour Boys.

“All I want to do is impress the coaches, but I believe in myself and my abilities, so I know that I will make it,” said Nene.

“This is a huge break and I am going to take this opportunity and use it to my best of abilities.”

“From the start of the Ke Yona team trials, I told myself that I want to make it to the last-16.

“Now that is done, I just have to work hard and make sure that I do the job at Chiefs.”
