Pirates are always expected to win, says Arrows coach

Bucs are in seventh place with 14 points after playing 10 games while Abafana Besthende are in 10th spot with 11 points from the same number of matches.

It’s a game where Golden Arrow coach Lehlohonolo Seema will be eager to get a victory from, but he knows that their DStv Premiership encounter against Orlando Pirates at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday will not be an easy one.

Having not conceded a goal in their last two games after playing to two goalless draws against Swallows FC and Stellenbosch FC, the Arrows coach believes all his troops need to do now is find their scoring touch in order to get a positive result against the Buccaneers.

“We know that we are coming against one of the big teams in the country. And they are a team that is always expected to win home and away.

“We know that they will come at us, but we have been working very hard and in the past two games we have managed to keep two clean sheets, our first for the season.. That is good because that’s what we want and now we can try to get some goals,” said the Abafana Be’sthende coach.

“We will give them the respect they deserve. They have a good team, good players, and a good technical team. But, we will be able to get the result. The guys are looking good. We don’t have a lot of injuries, except for the two guys that are still out, other than that we have a good squad to choose from.

“Everyone is available for selection except those two players, so we will see how it goes. But what I can tell you is that the squad is looking good and we are looking forward to playing against Pirates.”

However, the KwaZulu-Natal club are coming up against a Pirates side desperate for a change of fortunes with the Soweto team battling to keep a winning momentum going.

In the previous two fixtures, the Buccaneers recorded a win against Sekhukhune United, before going on to lose to Kaizer Chiefs.

Looking at both sides’ league standings, Bucs are in seventh place with 14 points after playing 10 games, whereas Arrows are in 10th spot having collected 11 points from the same number of matches.
