Bafana legend tips Sangweni to succeed at Pirates

Bafana Bafana legend Neil Tovey believes Thamsanqa Sangweni will break into Orlando Pirates' starting line-up.

Sangweni has struggled for game time at Bucs since joining them from Chippa United at the start of the season.

Tovey, however, who coached Sangweni at AmaZulu during the 2009/10 season, says Sangweni will make is mark at the Sea Robbers.

“Thami is a talented player… no doubts about that.  He has to work even harder to get into the first team. He must remain focused and committed.  I cannot say he has failed at Pirates because he just joined at the start of the season,’’ Tovey said.

“He is one of the best midfielders in the country who has potential but the most important thing is how he works at training. I think he can achieve great things at Pirates but it is up to him to step up to the plate,’’ added the Safa’s technical director.
