According to several reports the Zimbabwean International has already agreed on the move to USM Alger.
USM Alger president confirmed that the club will be signing Mashumba.
The 25-year-old joined Highlands from Jomo Cosmos two seasons ago when the Tembisa-based club was promoted to the Absa Premiership for the first time.
Mashumba remained with the club after they were relegated back to the NFD before regaining their status in the Absa Premiership a season later.
The Zimbabwean international fell down the pecking order at the club when they campaign for a return to top flight football last season.
He scored just one goal in six appearances for the Lions of the North in the National First Division last season.
