Hunt says he’ll run naked through the streets if SuperSport get 60 points

SuperSport United handed beleaguered Cape Town City their eighth straight DStv Premiership defeat of the season on Wednesday, much to the delight of coach Gavin Hunt.
Spurs, who parted ways with former coach Shaun Bartlett on Monday took an early lead through Therlo Moosa five minutes into the game. Bradley Grobler equalised for Matsatsantsa a Pitori 10 minutes before half-time.
The 35-year-old bagged his brace late in the second-half to complete the comeback and give his side all three points at Athlone Stadium.
“I’m happy with the result, I said to the players before the game that you know what happens when teams change the manager. There’s always an upturn and it happens everywhere in the world,” Hunt said.
“So it was dangerous to play here tonight and they went 1-0 up after five minutes which makes it difficult but we had a lot of opportunities. We changed a little bit of the way we played. “
Hunt’s changes from the bench paid dividends in the end as the win moved them into second place on 16 points, eight behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. United finished in third position last season with 54 points, and the 59-year-old coach made a wild promise if his side collects six more points than the last campaign.
A system change
“After 10 minutes, we changed the system and we went to a back three and we looked much better,” he explained.
“We obviously didn’t have the right players to play that way so I had to make a few changes. I brought in Keenan Bezuidenhout and he did well. We changed the way we played and tried to force them back a little bit and that worked. All we can focus on is doing the best that we can.
“We have 16 points out of 8 games. If we get 60 points out of the 30 games I’ll run down any street naked. We are punching above our weight with what we got. We are struggling a little bit, It’s our 12th away game in a row (SuperSport have been playing their ‘home’ games in Polokwane), it’s unbelievable but it is what it is so it has been tough traveling.”
