Khuzwayo’s situation beyond my authority – Micho

Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic says he is waiting for Bucs medical team to give Brilliant Khuzwayo clearance to play.

Khuzwayo’s withdrawal from Saturday’s Carling Black Label Cup clash against Kaizer Chiefs raised speculation on the goalkeeper’s future with Pirates.

“I have the highest degree of respect towards Brilliant Khuzwayo, who is a wonderful person and top goalkeeper that has been with Kaizer Chiefs before coming to us,” Sredojevic told reporters.

“All I can say is that it is something beyond my authority, where medical people are coming and giving advice and we cannot look beyond this.

“It means it is something we shall still wait for clearance in order to have him in full contention for a place, because with all his football qualities he deserves to be there.

“But it is a precautionary measure of the medical team that has stopped him from being part of the team today (Saturday).”
