Komphela’s appointment gives fans hope for Celtic revival

Bloemfontein Celtic number one fan Botha Msila is delighted with coach Steve Komphela’s appointment as the club’s new head coach.

Komphela agreed to a two-year deal with Siwelele after leaving Kaizer Chiefs unceremoniously before the end of the 2017/18 season.

“I am happy with Komphela joining Chiefs,” Msila told Phakaaathi.

“He is an experienced coach with a vision to match, he has understanding of coaching and what the club needs.

“I was happy from the moment he was linked with the club. I know that he understand the way the club plays. He studied Celtic for a long time.”

Msila says the green and white army from Mangaung is ready to stand behind Komphela.

“Komphela must know that he is not coming to Celtic to prove a point to anybody or to any club, he is here to build the club for the future. His appointment gives us hope as the fans and a bit of light about the sale of the club that it will stay in Bloemfontein. We will support him 100 percent. We don’t fire coaches, but support them 100 percent through losing and winning, and that is the support Steve will get from us as the Siwelele supporters.”
