Lebese hints at Chiefs exit as Cape Town City waits in the wings

Kaizer Chiefs winger George Lebese seems to be unhappy at Naturena after falling down the pecking order.

Lebese’s latest tweet shows the player is not happy with the amount of game time he has received at Chiefs this season under Steve Komphela as he continues to play second fiddle to Joseph Molangoane and Edmore Chirambadare.

“All I wanna do is play football irregardless of what colour T-shirt I have on,” read a tweet from the player.

The winger also struggled with an injury for most of the season. He has not done enough to convince Komphela to put him back in the starting XI that he had lost to pacey winger Chirambadare.

Lebese has been accused of being lazy by fans, as he is believed to not be his best despite the fact that he is a talented player.

His tweet was seen by Cape Town City, who replied with meme that reads: “You got my attention.”

The Citizens have already signed two players in the off season with their chairman, John Comitis, stating that they look to bring in more quality players to bolster the squad.
