Leopards turn down offer from Turkey for Musonda – report

Black Leopards are said to have down an R8 million from Turkish Super League outfit Goztepe for striker Mwape Musonda.

According to SunSport,  Leopards Boss David Thidiela is said to have put a R17 million price tag on the Zambian striker.

The Sunday paper further reported that Musonda wants to play overseas and is frustrated by Leopards turning down Goztepe’s offer.

“It is true there are teams that want Musonda in Turkey and China,” a source told SunSport.

“But the chairman (Thidiela) wanted nothing less than R17 million to release him. He has even rejected R8 million from Goztepe. If he goes, it will be Turkey or China.”

It remains to be seen if Goztepe will table an improved offer for the striker or if Musonda will remain with Leopards this coming season.
