Mahlangu: Masango will push Phala to work harder

Former SuperSport United Jabu Mahlangu told Phakaaathi the introduction of Mandla Masango would only bring out the best out of Thuso Phala.

Matsatsantsa A Pitori completed the signing of the 27-year-old Masango on a six-month loan deal from Danish side Randers FC. The move will see the Kwaggafontein-born winger reunite with coach Stuart Baxter and a number of former teammates.

“It is for the best because we needed someone on the right. We only had Thuso Phala who has been playing a lot of games. We know that he is a quality player. But somewhere, somehow, he deserves to get a bit of rest wherever possible because the league games will come in thick and fast in a short space of time,” said the SuperSport ambassador.

“You need to have a healthy competition in the team. Mandla can play on both the left and the right wing, and he can also play behind the striker. That is going to push Thuso to work harder. Since his arrival to the club, he has been one of the key players, but now Mandla is going to challenge him to do even more for the team and himself.

“Masango is a good additional signing, even if it is a loan, he will impress and perform well just like we all know him,”  he concluded.
