Mashaba set to replace Kerr at Leopards?

Former Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba is set to take over as Black Leopards coach next season, according to reports on Tuesday.

SunSport reports that Leopards have earmarked Mashaba as a replacement for coach Dylan Kerr who resigned at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Mashaba’s last coaching job was with National First Division side Witbank Spurs who were relegated at the end of the season.

The former Bafana Bafana coach was sacked before the last five games of the season.

“Leopards are interested in Mashaba’s services and have already made inquiries about his availability. The management reckons he will be able to instil discipline in the team, something that lacked under Kerr’s guidance,” a source told SunSport.

Mashaba claimed to be in the dark about the Leopards job.

“I know nothing about it, they haven’t spoken to me. But I will coach the club if approached. I am available to coach in the PSL and I have no problem,” said Mashaba.
