Chiefs striker’s high demands block Stars move

A close source to Free State Stars  has told Phakaaathi the club is looking to bring back former striker Edward Manqele, after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Kaizer Chiefs.

According to the source, negations have already begun with Manqele’s representative, but the huge salary the player wants might stymie the deal deal.

“Stars is his home and everyone at the team still loves him because of the time he spent with us, but the money he’s been earning is way too high for the club. We all know he is capable of and his qualities. And looking at the club currently, we need him,” said the source.

manqele began his professional career with Stars, before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows and Chippa United, before his spell at Chiefs.
