Stuart Baxter is likely to be on the bench for Kaizer Chiefs in their next game after missing the club’s clash against Sekhukhune United last weekend.

Chiefs next face Royal AM at Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday.

Following the breakout of Covid-19 cases at the club, the Chiefs head coach was among some personnel who had to be isolated, but a source at the Glamour Boys says Baxter’s case was just part of their precautionary measures and it’s not really that bad. He just has a couple of symptoms, but he will be back soon.

“The coach will be there when the team plays Royal AM on Sunday. He was supposed to be on the bench in the last game, but the doctor’s advice was that he stays isolated for a few days so that he can fully recover.

“He was constantly communicating with other members of the technical staff last week, even during the game. But he is not the only one who will be back. Other players who weren’t there during the last game will also be back because they only started training just a day or two before the Sekhukhune match,” said the source.
