Amakhosi appear to be in need of a young central midfielder in the mould of Willard Katsande after the tragic situation with Wiseman Meyiwa.

“They have looked at their academy but are not impressed so far and the scouts have been told to be on the lookout for a strong central midfielder. They have been relying solely on George Maluleka in that position since Ernst Middendorp arrived and they want someone younger for the future,” said a source.

There have been on-going rumours that Katsande’s days at Naturena are numbered as he does not seem to be on Middendorp’s plans for the future.
