Struggling Manyisa linked with move to GladAfrica Championship club

“Things are starting to be very difficult for him financially," said a source close to Manyisa.

Oupa Manyisa doesn’t have a choice, but has to make sure that he signs with GladAfrica Championship side, Platinum City Rovers, according to a source close to the former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star.

The source says Manyisa is starting to realise that there is no money coming in and he has been using his savings in the last couple of months to maintain his lifestyle and to look after his children.

The insider further revealed that the 33-year old player has been struggling to find a club because he has recurring injury and teams don’t want to gamble by signing him.

“Things are starting to be very difficult for him financially, hence he has to make sure that he at least gets a season long contract with Rovers and figure out how he is going to make money after football. He has kids that he has to support them and they are attending one of the most expensive schools in the country, that’s why it’s important for him to get a team and make some money.

“At the moment he is living through his savings, but the truth is that money won’t last forever. I don’t think what he will be earning at Rovers will be a lot, but it’s money that can help him push some things in his life. I feel so sorry for him because he has this injury that has been giving him problems in the last few years and people know about it, that is why he was not kept at Chippa United,” said the source.
