Motshwari set to make quick return to Pirates line-up

Midfielder Ben Motshwari might get back into action sooner than anticipated as he is making a progress on his hip injury.

The midfielder got injured during the Absa Premiership tie against Bloemfontein Celtic, which saw him miss the Caf Champions League against FC Platinum.

“Ben Motshwari is recovering well from his hip injury and there are positive signs that he may train with the rest of the team this week,” read a statement on the club’s website.

Meanwhile, Pirates also gave updates on injured Linda Mntambo, Mthokozisi Dube, and Paseka Mako.

In other injury news, midfielder Linda Mntambo continues to undergo rehabilitation on a hamstring injury. The medical team is currently observing the player and it is said that Mntambo is experiencing less pain and discomfort than before.

Another player on the mend is right back Mthokozisi Dube. He has completed his rehabilitation phase and has since been cleared to train with the rest of the team.

The diminutive Paseka Mako is also nearing complete fitness having recovered from a knock to the knee in a friendly match recently.
