Sekhukhune’s Truter not sure what to expect from Chippa in Cup tie
Truter says their tie against Chippa will be tricky for them because the Chilli Boys have just made coaching changes.

Ahead of Sunday’s Nedbank Cup quarterfinals clash against relegation threatened Chippa United, Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter is not certain about what to expect from their opponents.

Truter says their tie against Chippa at the Nelson Mandela Stadium will be tricky for them because the Chilli Boys have just made coaching changes, appointing Siyabulela Gwambi as new coach after sacking Kurt Lentjies.
“It’s a bit of a tricky game for us, considering that Chippa played last night (Wednesday). Yes, it was a negative result (Chippa lost 3-1 against Marumo Gallants), but at the same time, it’s a new coach again. So, for us tactically we have to be prepared for every scenario. We also came out of our game against Maritzburg bruised (with some players injured),” said Truter this week.

“For now it is about getting the guys fit, there are some guys that picked up injuries in that game. We would like to field a strong team against Chippa, it is their home game. I have to look at the data and analysis from their last game then prepare. It will be interesting to see the changes they have made or which one they prefer to go far in, the Cup or the league. They are involved in the relegation scrap, so they have to weigh their options and see which one they will push all of their resources into.”
Sekhukhune made it to this stage of the competition after beating Cape Town Spurs 2-0, while Chippa beat lower division side Mpheni Home Defenders by the same score-line.
