Sundowns’ big money offer boosts Brockie’s confidence

SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie admits Mamelodi Sundowns' interest in his services has inspired him to work harder.

Brockie was on coach Pitso Mosimane’s wish list during the last transfer period, however, SuperSport turned down Sundowns’ offer for the New Zealander.

The 30-year-old is one of the best strikers in the Absa Premiership since joining United in 2005.

“It was flattering seeing two big teams fight over me,” Brockie told The Star.

“I saw it as a compliment. It boosted my confidence. A lot of people thought it would disturb me but it did the opposite. I am driven to repay them for the faith that they have shown in me.

“I accepted their decision and focused on my game because I am a professional. My loyalty to them can’t be questioned.”
