Tinkler hits back at Pitso

Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler has insisted that Lebogang Manyama is not for sale.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admitted on Wednesday that Sundowns would like to sign Manyama, who is having a superb season with the Citizens.

“It would be nice to have him, but he belongs to another club. And you know what happens when Sundowns want a player – it costs R10 million,” Mosimane told reporters.

“That quote about Lebo is him (Mosimane) trying to destabilise us,” said Tinkler

“He is entitled to his view about how good he thinks Lebo is but he is our player, he has signed a new contract and is remaining at Cape Town City.”

“If he (Pitso) is going to do something like that he should try and get in touch with us first.”

Tinkler also gave his view on Mosimane’s comment that City were his favourites to win the league.

“He (Mosimane) is just trying to take the focus off himself,” said the City coach.
