We want to go all the way – Gould

SuperSport United defender Morgan Gould insists that Matsatsantsa intend to go all the way in this season’s Caf Confederation Cup.

Matsatsantsa reached the final of the Confederation Cup last year where they lost to Congolese giants TP Mazembe.

Regardless of whether his team receives the support or not, the former Kaizer Chiefs defender pretty much cares less.

“It is a very difficult position that we’re in. We are just going for it. No one gave us an opportunity when we were in the competition the first time and we went all the way,” he said.

“It is the same thing this year, no one is going to give us an opportunity and say we are going to do well. To us, whatever the people think, it is okay but we have our minds set on one thing,” Gould added.

Matsatsantsa are hosting Angolan side Petro Athletico tonight at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, where they need to beat the Angolans to book themselves a place in the group stages after they played to a 0-0 draw last week.

“SuperSport is a small dog in a big yard, the small dogs alarm the big dogs. And we are going to fight with the big dogs, that is what we are going to do,” commented Gould.
