WATCH: Goalkeeper hijacked at gun point

Brazilian international goalkeeper Jefferson was pulled out of his car by a gang of armed men who took his Range Rover.


In a post from his social media page, Jefferson says he was driving when a car suddenly stopped in front of him. The 32-year-old was then asked to step out of his car and kneel on the side of the road before they drove off with his car.

“I’ve sadly become another victim of the violence that ravages our city,” read a post on the goalkeeper’s social media page.

“I was on my way to training with Botafogo when I was overpowered by armed men who intended to steal my car and my belongings.

“God gave me the calmness to deal with the dangerous situation, and thanks to Him I did not suffer any violence.”
