The South African Sea Cadets is a non-profit organization dedicated to training and preparing school-going boys and girls from Grade 6 to Grade 12 for a career in the maritime industry.

TS Bounty is the Vereeniging unit of the South African Sea Cadets and is a land-based training ship located on the banks of the Vaal River.

Their role is to prepare youngsters for a nautical career. They are not remunerated for their time. Cadets have serious fun while learning leadership, self-discipline and maritime orientated skills as a voluntary extra mural activity. Any youngster irrespective of race, gender, or religion is welcome.

TS Bounty will be hosting an open day on 1 May from 12:00 to 15:00. All youth interested in attending can arrive at the base with their parents as indemnity forms need to be completed in accordance with protocol.
