Bophelong shootout leaves two injured

Medics assessed the men and found that one had sustained a gunshot wound to his buttocks while the second man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.

BOPHELONG.- Two male suspects were injured on Tuesday afternoon following a shootout with the local authorities in Bophelong, Vanderbijlpark.

According to ER24 emergency services spokesperson Russel Meiring, ER24 paramedics arrived at the location at 15h10 to find the local authorities already in attendance. Two men were seen lying in the middle of the road.

“Medics assessed the men and found that one had sustained a gunshot wound to his buttocks while the second man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.
Medics treated the men and provided them with pain-relief medication before they were transported to a provincial hospital for further care.”
