VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Wish upon a Star project has been an annual event for 15 years in the Vaal Triangle. Together with the Winter Warm project, these projects make a difference to the lives of a 1 000 vulnerable and destitute children from various shelters, children’s care centres and foster children’s programs in the Vaal.

“Lusa Community Chest is especially grateful this year to our sponsors who continue to support this worthy project despite the difficult economic challenges we are all facing. It is a privilege to come together as partners and bless so many children this year. We are all facing difficult times but we know that the only way to get through these times, is to stick together and help each other out. Synergy always has more impact than working in isolation,” said Ian Kennon, President of Lusa Community Chest at the recent beneficiary day, where gifts were officially handed over to representatives of the different institutions involved with caring for destitute children. The event was held at Emerald Resort & Casino.
