VANDERBIJLPARK. – Loads of fun activities and entertainment awaits visitors at Emerald Resort & Casino right through this year’s festive season.

Solstice

Summer Solstice will be celebrated in style at Aquadome on Wednesday, December 21.
“There will be lots of live music and entertainment outside, and swimming and fun in the covered Aquadome, no matter the weather. Bring the whole family!” invites Marinda Human, PR and Communications Manager at Emerald Resort & Casino.
Bands such as Rubber Duc, Posduif and Morgan Beatbox will keep you entertained all day long. The cost is R120 per adult and R90 per child under 12. “We have great surprises in store for young and old,” says Marinda.
Session 1 takes place from 09:30 to 14:30 and Session 2 from 15:00 to 20:00.

Christmas Night Walk

On Friday, December 23, young and old can take part in an exciting Christmas Night Walk in the Animal World Zoo. The fun and entertainment starts at 18:00 and carries on until 22:00. Entry is R65 per adult and R45 per child under 12. Bring the little ones to ride on a kiddies train, let them meet Santa and the Elves, and see some awesome Christmas lights. The youngsters can play in the snow pit and join Elsa, Anna and Olaf on ice! Taking part in the Ice Rink is R10 per person extra. There will also be food stalls to cater for all hungry tummies!

Christmas Lunch

A delectable Christmas Lunch will be served in High Stakes Restaurant on December 25 and will undoubtedly get the stamp of approval from every connoisseur. The Christmas day menu includes gammon, glazed with sticky apricot and pineapple sauce, sage and onion stuffed turkey roulade, served with sweet sage and cranberry sauce, honey roasted pumpkin, crispy Lebanese potatoes and other veggies. This tasty treat is wrapped up with Yorkshire pudding and gravy, or Malva pudding with ice-cream and custard. The cost is R220 per person. Kindly note that no under 18’s are allowed as the restaurant is in the Casino.

New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve celebrations starts at 19:00 on December 31 with live entertainment on the Casino floor. Come experience the nostalgia, fun and exciting vibe as the clock counts down to 2023. Visitors can expect some bubbly at midnight!
