Excellence Medical Care Clinic (EMC) is a well-established family orientated practice, located at 23 Delius Street, SW5, Vanderbijlpark. The clinic offers an all-inclusive medical service for the entire family which includes Primary Care, Antenatal Care, a Diabetes Clinic, Podiatry, IV Therapy, and a Dietitian.
The vision and mission of the practice is to provide high quality care services to help manage their patients’ health and well-being. EMC’s friendly environment and professional approach are some of the reasons why patients have been visiting this practice for the last 31 years. EMC has a team of highly trained medical practitioners which include Dr G de H Doorewaard, the founder of the practice, Dr IJ Lupemba, who joined EMC in 2012, and Dr Ronel Roos, who joined in 2022.
EMC also has a well-established Diabetic Clinic that is managed by highly trained educators. Thanks to the team’s dedication and high quality of services, the clinic has achieved “CDE Practice of the Year” for many years. Meet EMC’s Doctors:

Dr Govert de Heer Doorewaard – Practice Number: 0821047

Dr Doorewaard is a Family Practitioner with special interest in diabetes, reproductive medicine and ultrasounds. Family medicine is traditionally focused on treating patients of all ages. This includes baby wellness checks, childhood illnesses, men’s and woman’s health and caring for ailments of the elderly. Dr Doorewaard has more than 30 years of experience in Gynaecology and Obstetric sonars. He offers an extensive range of services to assist patients and their families in maintaining optimal health and wellness. Dr Doorewaard takes the time to listen to you and will offer support and education for you to prevent disease, and to improve and maintain your health. He constantly strives to improve himself in his medical fields by attending annual CDE Diabetes, Obstetric and Ultrasound Congresses to stay informed about medical research and new developments. In his free time, this devoted family man enjoys gardening, watching sport and loves exercising.

Dr Iyol Junior Lupemba – Practice Number: 0704121


Dr Lupemba is a Family Practitioner with special interest in HIV Management. He enjoys building good doctor-patient relationships as well as building trust with his patients. He supports his patients and their loved ones and promotes health as well as treating diseases. He embraces the power of informationand communication technologies to support people with the best available information, while respecting their individual values and preferences.
“My management strategy is a ‘Patient Centered Approach’. I discuss the situation with the patient and find common ground. We then make a decision that is best for the patient’s treatment. I like working in an environment that is friendly and beneficial to my patients,” says Dr Lupemba.
“I enjoy working with my staff as we all work as a team. We constantly assist each other in any areas that require extra assistance.” In his free time, Dr Lupemba enjoys spending time with his family, maintaining his vegetable gardens, walking in nature, traveling, and cooking Congolese food.

Dr Ronel Roos – Practice Number: 0792888

Dr Roos, born and raised in the Vaal Triangle, is a General Practitioner, dedicated and motivated to treat her patients in a holistic manner by integrating all modalities of medicine and wellness. “I have a deep love and care for my patients. I look at all levels of their health and well-being. I go beyond the general outlook of medicine, trying always to find the root cause of the problem.
I believe every patient deserves the right to a healthy, quality way of life,” she says. This devoted mother studied Physiology at NWU before pursuing her Medical degree. Her interests aren’t limited to medical fields such as Diabetes management, Weight management and IV Nutrient therapy; she also stays ahead of Aesthetic Medicine such as Botulinum Toxin and fillers, skin enhancing therapies and thread lifting. “I have a newfound passion for wellness and mental health and enjoy working with children,” says Dr Roos. Her hobbies include interior decorating, DIY projects and gardening.
