CT (Computed Tomography):
Computed Tomography, or CT scanning, combines X-ray technology with advanced computer processing to generate cross-sectional images of the body. CT scans provide detailed and highly precise images, making them invaluable for diagnosing various conditions, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and trauma. CT imaging allows physicians to visualize internal structures with exceptional clarity, aiding in surgical planning and treatment decision-making.

Bone Density
Bone densitometry is a specialized technique used to measure the density and strength of a person’s bones. It plays a crucial role in assessing bone health and diagnosing conditions such as osteoporosis, a disease characterized by low bone mass and increased risk of fractures.
During a bone density scan, a small amount of radiation is used to produce images of specific bones, usually the hip and spine.
Bone density imaging is a quick and painless procedure, requiring minimal patient preparation. It provides valuable information that helps in assessing fracture risk, monitoring the effectiveness of osteoporosis treatments, and guiding interventions to improve bone health.

Ultrasound:
Ultrasound imaging, also known as sonography, employs high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of the body’s organs and tissues. This non-invasive technique is safe and does not involve any radiation. Ultrasound is extensively used for imaging the abdomen, pelvis, heart, and blood vessels. Ultrasound is highly effective in assessment of tendons, ligaments, muscles and other soft tissues in cases of injury or unexplained joint pain when bony anatomy is normal.
It also plays a crucial role in monitoring pregnancies and guiding minimally invasive procedures.

Mammography and Breast Screening:
Mammography is a specialized imaging technique used to examine breast tissue for early detection of breast cancer. It involves low-dose X-rays to capture images of the breasts.
Over the years and with advancement of technology, the procedure has become relatively painless and quick, ensuring patient comfort and convenience.
Regular mammograms are essential for women’s health, as they can detect breast cancer at an early stage when it is most treatable. Early detection through mammography increases the chances of successful treatment and improves long-term outcomes. AR Diagnostics offers state-of-the-art mammography services and is dedicated to promoting breast health and preventing breast cancer.
Appointments available Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00 to 15:00, but walk-in patients are welcome and assisted to the best of our capabilities.

X-ray Imaging:
X-ray imaging is one of the oldest and most widely recognized modalities in medical imaging.
It employs low-dose ionizing radiation to capture images of the body’s internal structures, such as bones and organs. X-rays are commonly used to identify fractures, detect lung conditions like pneumonia, and diagnose certain abdominal issues.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging):
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) employs powerful magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of the body’s internal organs and tissues. Unlike X-rays and CT scans, MRI does not use ionizing radiation. It is particularly useful for evaluating soft tissues, such as the brain, spinal cord, joints, and organs. MRI plays a crucial role in diagnosing conditions like brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
