Vaalweekblad received the sad news this morning that Dick Manten, for many years a well-known resident in Deneysville, has passed away.

His passing was announced by his wife, Kathy:
“It is with deepest sadness that I write to tell you all that Dicky lost his battle at about a quarter to one this morning. The world feels very different already. Thank you all for your love and support and all your prayers over this time.”

Manten Marina, previously Dick Manten Boat Builders, was founded by the late Dick Manten Senior. His son, Dick Manten, took over the helm in 1995 together with his wife Kathy, and children Dirk, Jake and Cassidy. All members of the family are sailors and boaters having been involved in water sports practically their whole lives.
