School shoes donated to the needy

Kenneth “Conti” Kubheka, a former soccer star and founder of Continental FC, was also one of the attendees at this heartwarming handover.

EVATON.- Continental Masters FC, in partnership with the Barney Sports Foundation, recently donated 21 pairs of school shoes to children in need within the community.

This initiative took place at the Continental soccer ground in Evaton on Sunday, with representatives from both organisations personally handing over the brand-new school shoes to the children, who were accompanied by their parents.

Mphikeleli Nhlapo, representing both Continental FC and the Barney Sports Foundation, expressed that this initiative is their community give-back effort. Nhlapo emphasised that, unlike previous projects where they identified schools and donated school shoes, this time they directly gave school shoes to disadvantaged children in the community.

“We decided to identify those disadvantaged kids in our community through recommendations from our community members. This initiative aims to help the less fortunate children in our community, as we see them every day when they go to school in the morning or return from school. Continental FC would like to express our gratitude to the Barney Sports Foundation for consistently serving the needs of those in our community who require assistance.

It was a great success, and we remain committed to making a positive difference in our community,” stated Nhlapo. Kenneth “Conti” Kubheka, a former soccer star and founder of Continental FC, was also one of the attendees at this heartwarming handover.
