Taxi driver killed following vehicle-collision

A taxi driver was killed recently after he was ejected from his vehicle.

MIDVAAL. – A taxi driver was ejected from his vehicle and subsequently killed following a motor vehicle on the M61 and Joan Road, Kliprivier. The incident happened on Saturday, December 13.

Cert-SA reports: “Our Vaal crew received a call for a motor vehicle collision. On arrival, we found a taxi that had rolled and a male patient lying unresponsive outside the vehicle.

“After assessment, we established that the male was the driver of the taxi. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and had unfortunately succumbed due to the extent of his injuries. He was declared dead on the scene.”

Cert-SA adds that there were no other passengers in the vehicle.

The scene was attended by the Midvaal Fire Department, Midvaal Traffic Department, Gauteng Emergency Medical Services, and Kliprivier SAPS.
