“Upon arrival, we found six vehicles involved in a pile up after an alleged street race.”

SASOLBURG.- Three people were hospitalized on Saturday evening after six cars crashed during alleged street race.

In a statement emergency services Cert-SA said on Saturday, April 20, at 18:30, their Vaal crew responded to a motor vehicle collision on Eric Louw Street in Sasolburg.

“Upon arrival, we found six vehicles involved in a pile up after an alleged street race.”

Three patients were assessed on scene and transported to various hospitals.”

In a separate incident in Meyterton, Cert-SA responded to reports of a head-on collision on Jim Fouche Road.

“Upon arrival, we found two motor vehicles had collided head-on. Unfortunately, the driver of one of the vehicles sustained severe injuries and was declared dead on arrival. The driver of the second vehicle miraculously sustained only minor injuries and declined any medical treatment.”
