Support Service edition of Operation Shanela: SAPS Meyerton

The purpose of the visit was to conduct compliance inspections within the support environment.

On Thursday, November 14, Meyerton SAPS was visited by the Gauteng Provincial Head for Inspectorate, Brigadier Nikiwe Sefatsa, Provincial Head for Technology Management Services (TMS), Brigadier Stokkies Coetzee, provincial heads, the Sedibeng team and other senior officers.

The purpose of the visit was to conduct compliance inspections within the support environment.

According to Tlaleng Moloi, a spokesperson for Meyerton SAPS, the support environment includes the following sections: Inspectorate, Auxiliary Services, Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Human Resource Management (HRM), Human Resource Development (HRD), Human Resource Utilisation (HRU), Technology Management Services (TMS), Legal Services and Organisational Design & Strategic Management.

Best practices were shared to improve performance within the Support Service environment.

The Support Service edition of the weekly ‘Operation Shanela’ aims to ensure stations comply with all internal administrative processes towards improved service excellence.
