Gomes says that the district municipality, which is led by the ANC, has become the “cadre deployment capital” for the ANC over the past five terms.

Gomes says: “75% of the municipal budget is spent on salaries. Mismanagement, misuse of municipal infrastructure and bringing the municipality into disrepute are but a few of the charges laid by the DA against the ANC Mayor.”

Gomes says that the DA in Sedibeng hopes that a change of leadership.

New leadership will usher in a clean, transparent and accountable government, that is sorely needed in Sedibeng,” Gomes says.
