Midvaal gives local parks a facelift
The municipality shared plans to further enhance the parks with irrigation systems and fencing, subject to budget availability.
MIDVAAL – As a way to ensure that residents have safe public spaces that enhance their quality of life, the Midvaal Local Municipality has invested over R900 000 in upgrades at local parks utilised for recreation.
Among the unveiled upgrades are the Oval Park in Henley on Klip, which has been equipped with outdoor gym equipment, a children’s play area, and a half-sized basketball court.
The Rothdene Park has been upgraded with new play equipment for children. The executive mayor, Peter Teixeira, unveiled the upgrades and emphasised the community’s role in maintaining these spaces and keeping them well cared for.
“These improvements are part of our ongoing efforts to provide recreational facilities and encourage our communities to enjoy the outdoors and lead more active lifestyles.”
