Midvaal mayor congratulates matrics of 2024
This comes after the the Matric Class of 2024 achieved an impressive pass rate of 87.3%.

MIDVAAL – The Executive Mayor of the Midvaal Local Municipality, Alderman Peter Teixeira, has congratulated the Matric Class of 2024 on achieving an impressive pass rate of 87.3%.
Teixeira said this remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and dedication they demonstrated throughout their studies.
He also celebrated Gauteng’s impressive pass rate of 88.4%, securing third place nationwide.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hoërskool DR Malan and Destinata School for achieving an exceptional 100% pass rate. For many, this achievement marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as they pursue higher education qualifications, vocational training, or other opportunities. May this milestone serve as a foundation for even greater success in the future.
“To those pursuing higher qualifications, Midvaal Local Municipality is pleased to announce that applications for the Mayoral Student Financial Aid are now open. We encourage all eligible students—full-time learners enrolled in public institutions—to apply for this study assistance programme. To the learners who did not achieve the results they were hoping for, Teixeira said: “This is not the end of your journey. We urge them to remain steadfast and to try again.
