Midvaal completes electrification of 50 Savanna City houses

The project was completed at a cost of over R700 000.

The Midvaal Local Municipality says it has successfully completed the electrification project for Savanna City – Extensions Three (3) and Four (4).

The project involved the supply, delivery, installation, testing, and connection of electricity to fifty (50) households.

Additionally, pole-top boxes and meters were installed to facilitate efficient energy distribution and usage.

The project was completed at a cost of over R700 000.

The electrification of these 50 households is in addition to the over 400 houses that were previously electrified in the Moreki and Marothong sections.

Midvaal’s Municipal Manager, Anton Groenewald says the project is a testament to the municipality’s commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring access to basic services for all communities.

This electrification project provided jobs for six local labourers, as part of our ongoing efforts to empower our communities with opportunities for economic participation and growth.

“Midvaal remains committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through reliable and sustainable service delivery. We will continue expanding electrification efforts to ensure that all communities have access to essential services,” Groenewald says.
