Motorcyclist airlifted after serious crash in Vanderbijlpark

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital following a serious crash in Vanderbijlpark.

VANDERBIJLPARK – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a motorcycle-related vehicle accident in South East Vanderbijlpark earlier today.

Members of the Sector 3 and 4 Community Policing Forum (CPF) were among the first to respond to the scene, where traffic control measures were immediately implemented to secure the area and protect motorists and emergency personnel.

A section of the road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services unobstructed access.

The injured rider was stabilised on scene before being airlifted by a Netcare medical helicopter to a specialised medical facility for further treatment.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances of the crash.

The CPF commended the coordinated response of emergency medical services and first responders, highlighting the importance of rapid intervention and disciplined scene management in serious incidents.

The injured person’s condition remains unknown at this stage.
