VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Vaal and NWU Vaal are bursting with pride after the brother and sister combination of Alan (72.78m) and Marga Cumming (64.30m) were respectively crowned as the SA men’s and women’s hamer throw champions in Pretoria on Friday. Both are coached by hamer throw legend Chris Harmse. Harmse, also from the Vaal Triangle, won the SA hamer throw 23 consecutive times from 1996 to 2018.
