VEREENIGING. – The Vereeniging Cricket Club emerged as the victor of the closely contested Pierre Kok Cancer Awareness T20 Series which concluded on 4 June at the Dick Fourie Stadium.
Meyerton CC, Route 66 CC and Vereeniging CC each won two games of their three games. In the end, the final standings were determined by bonus points, with the top three teams finishing within 1.2 league points of each other.

Vereeniging finished on 12.8 points, followed by Meyerton (12 points), Route 66 (11.6 points) and Sasolburg (2.8 points). The batsman of the series was Ahmed Saloojee of Meyerton CC who scored 82 runs from 61 deliveries in three innings. Bernico van Tonder of Vereeniging CC was crowned as the Bowler of the Series after taking 7/43 in 9 overs.
He also scored 67 runs from 44 deliveries in three innings to walk off with the Player of the Series award.
