VANDERBIJLPARK. – The official opening of the Dries van Heerden Rhino Regional Rugby week took place yesterday at the VUT Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark. The event was attended by distinguished guests such as Prof Dan Kwagi, vice-chancellor and principal of VUT, Vivian Lottering, president of Gauteng Sport, and Xolani Mathumbo, president of Sedibeng Sport and Dr. Jorrie Jordaan, chairman of the North Vaal high school rugby association.

Dries van Heerden, the father of the Rhino Week, officially declared the week open.

The event was attended by distinguished guests such as Prof Dan Kgwadi, vice-chancellor and principal of VUT (middle), Vivian Lottering, president of Gauteng Sport (left) and Xolani Mathumbo, president of Sedibeng Sport (right).
